Val Ryun is a queer, nonbinary, & neurodivergent painter based in Dallas, Texas. With a background in classical impressionism and realism, Ryun blurs imaginative storytelling with figurative representations of memories, experiences, & their lasting symptoms.

"Through art, let's be understood" guides my practice. Led by intimate vulnerability, I dream for comforting connection within our shared cyclical experiences of grief, resentment, acceptance, & growth.

I find home in discovering the interconnectedness of our widespread experiences and believing we aren't so different after all; or "yet, we all dream."
